Excellence in Leadership and Service: Celebrating Jasmine Manley

Jasmine Manley exemplifies the leadership, service, and vision that define the National Association of Railway Business Women. As Chicago Chapter president, she strengthened chapter operations, expanded visibility across the rail industry, and built programs that will benefit members for years to come.
Through Jasmine’s efforts, the chapter partnered with Illinois Operation Lifesaver, launched a Scholarship Program, implemented a membership‑management platform to more efficiently track memberships, and grew the chapter to 65 members. She also strengthened outreach with Metra, Canadian National, and Amsted Rail, creating a sustainable framework that makes it easier for companies to enroll groups of employees.
Jasmine led a flawless Chicago Chapter 100th anniversary celebration, created a railroad‑themed sponsorship program that supported the chapter’s scholarship program, helped secure a feature article in Railway Age, and led the development of the chapter’s first website, narbwchicago.org. Thanks to Jasmine’s networking skills, NARBW had a strong presence at the 2025 Railway Age & RT&S Women in Rail Conference, including a membership table and discounted registration for members. Together, these efforts significantly increased NARBW’s visibility across the rail industry.
Jasmine actively participates in many NARBW community service projects, reflecting her dedication to serving others and advancing the chapter’s mission. Her involvement in the League of Railway Women, the National Black MBA Association, the National Association of Black Accountants, and the Institute of Management Accountants reflects her commitment to the rail industry and to contributing within her professional community.
With 11 years at Anacostia Rail Holdings, Jasmine is known for her integrity, mentorship, and leadership in accounting and operations. Jasmine’s strategic vision, relationship‑building, and unwavering service make her an outstanding Chicago Chapter Woman of the Year.
